Quick Hint- Cutting Apples

I was making an apple pie for Sunday night dinner. I cut the apples up and needed to get something else done so I put them in a bowl of cold water to keep them from browning. The apples kept floating to the top as apples do so I put a plate on top of them and it held the apples under water. No brown apples!
